Topographic Truchet

Topographic Truchet is a proposal for a public art installation at the Redmond Airport in Redmond, OR.

Responding to Redmond Airport’s desire for artwork that links to Redmond’s landscape and context, we proposed a tryptich of panels composed of a sampling of topography from around the region. Sorting real-world sites into three themes, we lightly modified each region to link together into an infinitely recombinable truchet pattern. A metallic finish draws reference to aircraft construction.
